Ένας τραυματισμός τις περισσότερες φορές έχει ως συνέπεια την αδυναμία ή ανικανότητα εργασίας για κάποιο χρονικό διάστημα, πράγμα που έχει σαν πιθανό αποτέλεσμα την απώλεια κάποιων εισοδημάτων (από το μισθό σας, από την αναγκαστική αποχή σας από το ελεύθερο επάγγελμα κτλ). Δικαιούστε, λοιπόν, να ζητήσετε τα εισοδήματα που απωλέσατε. Ωστόσο, στην περίπτωση που είστε ασφαλισμένοι στο ΙΚΑ, δεν δικαιούστε να ζητήσετε ποσά που έχετε λάβει από το ΙΚΑ για αυτήν ακριβώς την αιτία. Σημειώνουμε ότι δικαιούστε να ζητήσετε ό,τι εισοδήματα θα στερηθείτε στο μέλλον λόγω των βλαβών που σας έχουν προξενηθεί (μερικές βλάβες μάλιστα ενδέχεται να είναι και μόνιμες), ακόμη και λόγω της μείωσης της αποδοτικότητάς σας στο επάγγελμά σας λόγω του τροχαίου συμβάντος. Επίσης, αν λόγω της φύσης της εργασίας σας κερδίζατε και φιλοδωρήματα, δικαιούστε να ζητήσετε κι αυτά. Τέλος, δικαιούστε να ζητήσετε ό,τι δαπανήσατε λόγω της ανικανότητάς σας προς εργασία, για παράδειγμα για την πρόσληψη προσωπικού λόγω της ανικανότητας ή μειωμένης αποδοτικότητάς σας.
